Thoughts on a Saturday Night

Posted on

I am having trouble typing today.

I missed a few days of kung fu and my forearms are feeling weak.

Remember that being able-bodied is a privilege. Many people have problems much worse than I do. Pay attention to your body and enjoy what it does for you. I never knew how useful hands were until I couldn’t use them.

I am working on reworking my schedule for next month so I have more time to exercise and practice my instruments.

I also want to spend less time on screens if possible.

I am lucky to have a caring partner who has been visiting me for her spring break (she left today and I miss her already).

I have a few articles in the works, but I need more time to finish them.

My grandfather is practicing accordion upstairs. Even now he is still gigging. I aspire to be as healthy and full of life as him when I am older.

I have been reflecting a lot on my path. Despite some recent setbacks, I know that I have come a long way. I am going to be making an extra effort to control what I can.

Thank you to everyone who has been reading my blog and visiting my website lately! I have a lot more content coming.

I am off to stretch and ice. I will leave you with one of my favorite albums. It is vulnerable and human.

Don’t forget to be vulnerable and human.
